This was a follow-up appointment for small lesions, which had responded partially to the treatment she suggested. This time I also had a new lesion. She asked if I would mind cortisone shots, I said please do, so she shot cortisone directly into the stubborn spots (which have disappeared since that visit). She is a very kind and competent dermatologist, the best I have seen in many years

It is always a pleasure seeing Dr. Opene. She makes you feel comfortable with her warm pleasant demeanor. It is easy discussing any issue with her and she always gives great suggestions. She also ask about any preexisting conditions prior to prescribing any new medications. She is also very thorough about checking your history/records. Dr Opene is alway very thorough and follows up on the fine details. I had some questions about skin lesions and how to stop and prevent the painful nail fungus from spreading to my toes. She had some great suggestions and found another pharmacy for me to use when a CVS prescription was too expensive.

Doctor was quick, informative and to the point but maybe the “routine” aspect of the visit felt less personalized. Entered the room without knocking to launch straight into introduction and left room at the end without indicating the nurse assistant was to take over the wrap-up. Felt so abrupt for what felt like less than five minutes of face time.
