About
Dr. Horwich is a transplant and general hepatologist treating patients with a broad range of liver-related conditions including cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, alcohol-associated and autoimmune liver diseases.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Horwich earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in the Health, Technology & Engineering (HTE) Program. He stayed to complete his internal medicine residency at LAC+USC / Keck Hospital of USC. This was followed by gastroenterology fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Horwich returned to Southern California to complete an additional fellowship in transplant hepatology at Keck Hospital of USC.
Dr. Horwich's clinical and research interests include steatoic (fatty) liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, liver transplantation and alcohol-associated liver disease.
