About

Dr. Boback Ziaeian is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He subsequently completed a UCLA STAR fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and earned a doctorate in Health Policy and Management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

Dr. Ziaeian’s research focuses on cardiovascular health services, population health management, and quality of care assessment. His work has been supported by the American Heart Association and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and he was the recipient of the American College of Cardiology Presidential Career Development Award.

He serves as Chair of the ACC/AHA Committee for Performance Measurement and as Director of Telecardiology at the VA Greater Los Angeles, where his work is supported by the VA Office of Connected Care.
