About
Dr. Arjan Gower is a hematologist/oncologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at UCLA . Dr. Gower is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. He provides comprehensive care for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions, with a specialized focus on lung, mesothelioma, and breast cancer. He conducts translational and clinical research in lung cancer and his research is funded by peer-reviewed grants from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, Medical Oncology Association of Southern California, and the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Gower earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, Master’s degree in Tumor Biology from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a Certificate in Statistics in Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he received the Rubenstein Award for research, and completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at UCLA.
Dr. Gower has presented his work at national and international conferences and has authored publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).
