I went in for my first appointment with an endocrinologist today—and I am so glad it was Dr Sumal. I am in my 30s, recently diagnosed with PCOS, and though the signs were always there but yet it hurts to know that there’s no tangible pay off inspite of following an active lifestyle, tracking my calories and eating healthy home-cooked food. I am highly keen on finding ways to manage or hopefully reverse my symptoms to better focus on my academic and professional commitments and successfully complete my PhD. It was therefore wonderful meeting Dr Sumal today who is not only extremely erudite, thorough and knowledgeable about insulin resistance and management but he is also extremely empathetic, pleasant and articulate. Most importantly Dr Sumal felt quite relatable and comes across as a really nice human being. I do have enough reasons to believe that (fingers crossed) that Dr Sumal will be the perfect guide to help me tackle my PCOS in order to lead a healthy and happy life.

Dr Sumal is so helpful at listening and helping me with my goals. In a short amount of time he has helped me to determine my central health issues and worked with me on a plan towards being in full reversal of Type 2 diabetes. I takes time to listen, answer my questions, and works with me even on matters where I feel uncomfortable taking a standard approach to medications. I am very thankful to have been recommended to him!

I can’t express enough how grateful I am for Dr. Sumal. He does everything he can to help his patients. Not only is he treating my endocrine care, but he had also ordered additional labs to be drawn to assist my others doctors for my on-going pots management. He gives me hope that my conditions will become more manageable overtime.

Wonderful appointment. Dr. Sumal is Professional, very intelligent, pleasant, enthusiastic and positive. He is a warm, smiling affect and is very trustworthy. He has helped me control my Diabetes Type 2, from being uncontrolled 3 months ago, to being ‘in control’ today! I am invested in continuing our goals for continued stable, within range for my norm and to decrease my insulin dose, so that I can lose weight. What a great person and a reliable, invested Doctor to improve his patients health and well being!
