About
Ami Thakor Philipp graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of California San Diego and then went to University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford for medical school and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She then completed residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA. She completed Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the West Los Angeles VA which included pediatric training at CHLA. Ami’s love of Allergy/Immunology developed in medical school when she worked with high risk teens with asthma. Ami enjoys seeing all ages and have a special interest in managing food and drug allergy as well as allergic rhinitis and asthma.

Dr. PHilipp is the best doctor a I’ve ever had!! She is an asset to UCLA. She spends time and listens to me and my physical concerns. Then she makes a diagnosis and how she would treat my complaints or condition. She always ask for a feedback while the treatment is ongoing especially when she prescribes a medication. I have a lot of great doctors at UCLA health, but Dr. Phillipp is by far my favorite. She's through and never makes me feel rushed. She gets a whole picture if what's happening with me, especially my related conditions. She's also thoughtful about making sure the meds I'm on are are still relevant, tweaking based on me as an individual rather than just lumping me in with everyone else who has allergies. Lastly, she has such a positive and high energy vibe that I come away feeling energized and optimistic about my health. Very grateful to have her on my team!
