About
Dr. Amanda Leiter is a board-certified endocrinologist and health services researcher at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Leiter's research focuses on the interaction of endocrine diseases and cancer, with a particular interest in how to optimize diabetes care in the setting of cancer treatment and cancer survivorship. She has a NIH/NIDDK K08 award and Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator award that supports her research in this area.
Dr. Leiter graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with an MD and Master of Science in Clinical Research degree. She completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She also completed a National Institute of Health T32 research fellowship for Cancer Prevention & Control in Priority Populations.
Dr. Leiter is committed to providing exceptional care to patients with diabetes. She has a clinical interest in the treatment of diabetes and other endocrine conditions in patients with complex medical conditions, such as cancer.
