Dr. Alexander Black is hematologist oncologist who practices in Santa Clarita and Pasadena. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He focuses on clinical research and patient care, with a background in molecular biology research in leukemia.
Dr. Black received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He then completed his fellowship training in hematology/oncology at UCLA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard College, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude in biochemistry.

Dr. Black is one of the most caring oncologists I have worked with on my breast cancer trip through life. I had an oncologist in Michigan who worked with me after a lumpectomy for LCIS in2007. No comparison ! I thought she was wonderful but Dr. Black has a very personal approach. He gives you the info, helps you sort it out and is a warm and encouraging doctor. He listens, answers your questions and knows your total My Chart info.

At 11:00 exactly the door opened … Dr Black asked a few questions… read a note my wife had given me to share with the Dr. Of my current medication taken daily . With question marks asking the Dr. If I should continue taking… told my tests look great and that he wants to see in a YEAR… done. Gave me a complete recap of our visit. Details on each medication I take and why .. I checked and I was back in my car at my car at 11:12….. YES 12 minutes … told you he is an Alien. And he’s a Joy to talk with
