About
Dr. Aaron Burkenroad is a medical oncologist and hematologist who practices in Downtown LA and Santa Monica. He provides care to patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders in Downtown LA. He also specializes in the care of patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas and related conditions in Santa Monica. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Burkenroad is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine and has academic interests in sarcoma clinical research and quality improvement of cancer care.
Dr. Burkenroad earned his M.D. at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY where he was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Medical Oncology fellowship at UCLA, and was selected to serve as the Chief Fellow in his final year. Dr. Burkenroad received his undergraduate degree and Master's degree in Biology at UC San Diego. Dr. Burkenroad is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians. He was born and raised in Los Angeles. When not working, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
