Why choose UCLA Health for long-term COVID treatment?

Long COVID affects approximately 1 in 9 individuals who have had a COVID-19 infection.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) define Long COVID as a group of symptoms that linger for months after a COVID-19 infection. Long COVID symptoms can affect multiple organs and body systems simultaneously. Even those who experience a mild initial illness may continue to struggle with persistent symptoms that disrupt daily life.

Our Long COVID Program brings together leading specialists in the field to provide expert diagnosis, management and treatment tailored to your unique health needs.

What Sets Our Program Apart?

Expert diagnosis: Since Long COVID is a diagnosis of exclusion, we evaluate and test to rule out other underlying conditions before confirming a diagnosis. If you have had COVID-19 and experience symptoms lasting more than 12 weeks, speak with your primary care provider about a referral to our program.

Personalized treatment plans: Long COVID can impact the brain, nervous system, heart, lungs and more. Our team includes specialists from multiple disciplines, ensuring you receive the most effective, tailored care for your symptoms.

Collaborative, coordinated care: Our multidisciplinary team works seamlessly to provide comprehensive care. We communicate with your primary care physician to keep them involved in your recovery journey.

Ongoing support: Recovery from Long COVID can take time. We support you throughout your healing process, offering access to support groups, additional therapies and at-home care plans.

Proven results: We’ve been treating Long COVID since it was first identified during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’ve treated thousands of patients. With extensive experience, our program has refined treatment strategies to optimize recovery through an multidisciplinary approach.
