Ana Valenzuela is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) who has been part of the Gonda Diabetes Center team since 2008. She is dedicated to empowering individuals with diabetes to take charge of their health through education, personalized care, and the integration of innovative technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and automated insulin delivery (AID) systems.

Ana provides comprehensive care and education for individuals living with prediabetes, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and diabetes in pregnancy. Her practice focuses on helping patients build confidence and achieve optimal outcomes through evidence-based self-management strategies and technology-supported diabetes care.

Ana earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University (APU), where she received the Faculty Award for exemplifying excellence in scholarship, clinical practice, leadership, and service. She went on to complete her Master of Public Health at APU as a recipient of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Public Health Scholarship. Currently, Ana is pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at APU, continuing her commitment to advancing equitable, technology-driven diabetes care and improving access to high-quality education and management for all individuals living with diabetes.
