Esther Yu, MD

Dr. Yu earned her MD from Duke-National University of Singapore Medical School and completed Transitional Year Residency at AdventHealth Redmond in Georgia.
Before joining UCLA, Dr. Yu was dedicated in research, teaching, community service and public health. She has a rich background in immunology and cancer research, having served as a research fellow at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, where she contributed to the global understanding of T cell responses in infectious diseases including COVID-19. She was involved in the Coronavirus Research Task Force and vaccine development during pandemic. She also volunteered in cancer clinical trials and engaged in AI-driven diagnostic radiology research.
Passionate about both clinical and translational oncology, Dr. Yu is dedicated to advance patient-centered cancer care and radiation research through innovation and compassion. She is particularly interested in integrating immunologic insights and technology-driven approaches into radiation oncology.
