The Limketkai Lab is dedicated to improving the care of patients with IBD through innovative, patient-centered research. Our studies explore nutrition and malnutrition in IBD, precision nutrition, emerging treatments, and the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance gastrointestinal health. By leveraging large clinical datasets and collaborative research networks, we aim to identify drivers of patient outcomes and translate these insights into better care.

About us

Participate in prebiotics in ulcerative colitis study

A primary motivation in our efforts to perform clinical research has been to advance knowledge that can be used to improve the care we deliver and the quality of our patients’ lives. If you have active ulcerative colitis and are between the ages of 18 to 85 years you may be eligible for this study. Participants will receive $100 as check or gift card for participating.

Each year published authors in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases are considered for the annual IBD Journal awards in both basic science and clinical research. Led by Dr. Berkeley Limketkai, the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases was recognized at the Crohn’s & Colitis Congress for "Dietary Patterns and Their Association with Symptoms Activity in Inflammatory Bowel Disease."
