Adjunct Assistant Professor
Division of Endocrinology
Department of Medicine
David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
Dr. Souvenir holds a PhD in microbiology and molecular genetics form Loma Linda University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. E Dale Abel where she now holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor. Merging her training and research interest she’s carved out a unique research niche focusing on the role of sex hormones in mitochondrial metabolism in platelets and thrombosis. She’s passionate about all things: platelets, mitochondria, estrogen, and NIH funding! When she is not otherwise engaged in the laboratory she enjoys cooking, baking and DIY projects in her home.
