Moira Ann Desphy, MPH

Moira Ann Desphy serves as a Program Manager in the Department of Medicine Office of Community Engagement and Inclusive Excellence – presently, she is housed under Internal Medicine-Pediatrics. She is responsible for the LGBTQ+ Health Training Programs, Women in Medicine & Inclusive Excellence Programs, and the Center for Asian Health. Previously she served LA County as a Public Health Investigator during the COVID-19 Pandemic managing outbreaks and conducting death surveillance. She has also worked in research under Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (Mental Health in Filipino Youth), USC Viterbi School of Engineering (Tracking Individual Performance with Sensors), and Georgetown University (NGS based HLA typing). Moira graduated from Keck School of Medicine of USC with an MPH concentrated in Global Health and from UCLA with a BS in Neuroscience.
