Dr. Mark Sawicki's research focuses on the molecular genetics and molecular biology of endocrine tumors, in particular the biological function of the MEN1 tumor suppressor gene. He received the National Cancer Institute Shannon Award for his work establishing the connection between the MEN1 protein called menin and the activator of S-phase kinase (ASK) protein in endocrine tumor development.
