Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Taking action today to build an equitable tomorrow.
We Believe Equity is an Essential Principle
At the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, we share the commitment of the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute to ensure that all Americans share equally in the medical advances that result from cancer research, and that current disparities in the burden of cancer are reduced or eliminated.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote inclusive excellence and equity for our people at every level of our workforce, improve the experience of our patients through accessible and affirming research and care, and invest in our community through education, service, and advocacy.
Our Objectives
To accomplish our mission to enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout the Cancer Center, our plan is organized into four key objectives and includes a five-year plan.
Meet Our Leadership Team
We believe that our commitment to cancer equity starts at the top, and the composition of leadership team is a critical step in creating stronger cancer science and reducing the burden of cancer for an increasingly diverse America.
Our Partnerships
To accomplish our goals and achieve equitable cancer care for all, our efforts reach across a spectrum of activities, including collaborations across UCLA and partnerships with its many institutions.
