Business Analyst

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Analyst and Fund Manager at Simms/Mann, I am honored to support the Center’s mission of whole-person care by transforming clinical efforts into meaningful, measurable outcomes.  In my role, I collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build data infrastructure, design reporting systems, and launch dashboards that clearly demonstrate the Center’s impact to UCLA Health and potential donors. By developing recurring, self-refreshing reports and coordinating data projects, I help ensure that our performance aligns with internal goals and external benchmarks—highlighting the profound return on investment our donors and partners help make possible. In addition to clinical analytics, I ensure that Simms/Mann endowments are managed appropriately with regular financial reporting, expense allocation, and projections—ensuring the Center is always ready to provide care to those who need it most.

Training and Professional Work

I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in May 2024. Through USC’s Progressive Degree Program, I also earned a Master of Health Administration with a focus on data analytics and operational process improvement in May 2025. My professional journey has centered on turning complex health data into actionable insights.

During my graduate studies, I interned with Optum—a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group—on the High Risk Analytics team within the Affordability and Cost Savings under the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) There, I created secure data transfer processes, developed interactive dashboards, and built automation tools in Python, Excel, and SQL to streamline reporting and boost team efficiency across Hospice, Palliative Care, Risk Adjustment, and Pharmacy- related projects. These experiences sharpened my skills in scalable data solutions, taught me the importance  and sparked a lasting interest in systems that support patient-centered care.

Personal

Having recently moved to Westwood, I’m enjoying discovering nearby hiking trails, exploring West LA with my roommate, and spending time with my brother who is studying nearby at UCLA proper. My passion for cancer care began in 2007, when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her strength continues to inspire me, and every year we walk together in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Costa Mesa. Working at Simms/Mann allows me to channel both my professional training and personal commitment into something deeply meaningful: supporting patients and families navigating cancer with data-driven, compassionate care.
