Responsibilities

Jacqueline “Jackie” Dillon serves as the Clinical Social Worker and Program Lead for Neuro-Oncology at UCLA Health’s Simms/Mann Center for Integrative Oncology. She provides evidence-based, trauma-informed psychosocial care to patients and families affected by the full spectrum of neuro-oncological diagnoses, including NF1, NF2, meningiomas, glioblastomas, and other primary and metastatic central nervous system tumors. Jackie fosters collaboration among interdisciplinary teams across UCLA Health to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and strengthen continuity throughout the Neuro-Oncology continuum.

Training and Professional Experience

Ms. Dillon partners across clinical and community disciplines to advance equitable access, caregiver education, survivorship, and end-of-life care initiatives.

She previously co-founded and co-led Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Care Coordination Department, promoting culturally responsive education and practice among the department’s social workers and case managers.

She represents UCLA Neuro-Oncology nationally through collaborations with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), presenting on caregiver support and family resource integration for individuals navigating complex brain tumor diagnoses. Her expertise has also been featured at UCLA Health Schwartz Rounds, where she served as a co-panelist with Chief Nursing Executive Dr. Karen Grimley.

Ms. Dillon is a recurring speaker at UCLA’s Annual Brain Tumor Conference, facilitating caregiver and family dynamics panels focused on communication, resilience, and quality of life in Neuro-Oncology. Her recognitions include the CICARE Leadership Award, presented by UCLA Health CEO Johnese Spisso, and two Clinical Excellence Fund Awards for innovation in clinical practice and program development.
