Responsibilities
As a Social Work Intern at the Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology, I provide psychosocial support to individuals and families facing the profound challenges of cancer. In close collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team, I focus on evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's values, culture, and goals of care. I am also committed to connecting clients with essential community resources to ensure continuity across the cancer care continuum. I’m passionate about cultivating a compassionate, empowering environment that helps people navigate the emotional, relational, and existential complexities of a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Professional Experience
I hold a B.A in Psychology and Communications from University of California Davis and I am currently getting my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from University of Southern California.
Personal Interests
I have a huge passion for yoga and am currently a yoga instructor in my free time. I am interested in connecting grief work with the practice of yoga.
