Join the Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology for the “2025 Women’s Cancer Survivors Conference: Better Living Through Healing and Resilience,” from 8:30 am-1 pm Saturday, May 3, at the UCLA Faculty Club on campus.

Eve Lahijani, RDN, a registered dietitian nutritionist for the Simms/Mann Center, will join Steven McCarthy, MD, in a presentation of Dr. McCarthy’s research into how nutrition and lifestyle can reduce the risk of cancer and recurrence, specifically as it relates to the gut microbiome. Lahijani will present a food demonstration and share how Dr. McCarthy’s recommendations can be put to practical use.

Oncologist Patricia Ganz, MD, director of the Cancer Control and Survivorship research program at the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Ganz, a Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, specializes in breast cancer prevention and treatment.

Other topics to be discussed at the conference, organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA, include sexual health and intimacy, menopause, bone health and sleep. The Simms-Mann Center will host a resources table with information on cancer support.
