Dr. Won Kim is interested in studying the genetic alterations and the immune environments that allow brain metastases to survive within the central nervous system. By furthering knowledge regarding these factors, his hope is to find novel ways to target these tumors through immunotherapeutic means. Additionally, he is interested in improving the ability to quantify tumor burden and detect early progression through the sampling of cell free DNA in the cerebrospinal fluid.
