Jing Wen, PhD

Dr. Wen's research interest has been focused on immunotherapy and gene therapy for treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, cancer, and central nervous system (CNS) diseases. Particularly, she has developed a delivery platform with effective blood-brain-barrier (BBB) penetration capability. This platform affords effectively delivery of monoclonal antibodies, nerve growth factors, and other therapeutic to the brain, opening a new avenue for treatment of CNS diseases, such as neuron degeneration, primary and metastatic brain tumors, spinal cord injury, and HIV CNS infection.
