Scientific Interests
Dr. James Gimzewski's current research activities include correlation of nanomechanics of cells and single molecule force spectroscropy of cancer cells using atomic force microscopy/ spectroscopy STED, SEM and optical interformerty. He has been recently active in the area of exosomes relating to brain cancer and developing fine needle elastography of thyroid tissue. He also studies RNA single molecule profiles with AFM and neuronal protein binding with actin.
