Dr. Fola May conducts research in racial and ethnic disparities in colorectal cancer screening. Her research aims to understand the barriers to screening and to develop innovations to improve uptake of screening in underserved populations. Current projects include qualitative and quantitative observational studies at UCLA Medical Center, the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs and in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
