Responsibilities
In my role as a clinical social worker, I provide comprehensive psychosocial support to individuals and their loved ones as they navigate the multifaceted challenges of cancer. Working closely within a multidisciplinary medical team, I integrate interventions tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances, values, and needs. Beyond direct clinical care, I strive to connect patients and families with community-based and integrative resources, ensuring continuity of support throughout their cancer journey.
Professional Experience
After earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology with double minors in sociology and holocaust history from Chapman University, I went on to obtain my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I previously worked as a clinical behavioral coach at Community West Treatment Center, where I supported adolescents and young adults in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. In this role, I facilitated therapeutic groups and provided individual support to address a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.
My professional path has also been deeply enriched by my involvement in global mental health and educational initiatives. I completed a year-long teaching fellowship in Israel, where I taught English and gained a profound understanding of cultural adaptation and resilience within educational settings. In Ghana, I contributed to initiatives addressing period poverty, and in Morocco, I worked with psychiatric patients, deepening my understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and cultural context. These international experiences have expanded my perspective on care across diverse settings and populations, further strengthening my commitment to providing culturally responsive, holistic, and compassionate support.
Personal Interests and Perspectives
Outside of my clinical work, I find grounding and renewal in nature. I enjoy hiking local trails, camping beneath the stars, and spending time by the ocean. I also love cooking for family and friends, as preparing and sharing meals brings me a deep sense of connection and joy.
